Welcome to ICACG 2024
Dear Colleagues and Friends,
On behalf of the local Organizing Committee, the Department of Veterinary Medicine, University Federico II of Naples and the Institute of Animal Production System in Mediterranean Environment (ISPAAM) of the National Research Council (CNR) of Italy, Portici (Naples), it is our great pleasure to invite you to attend the 25th International Colloquium on Animal Cytogenetics and Genomics (25th ICACG) that will be held in Naples, Italy on June 26th-29th, 2024.
This meeting follows those occurred in San Petersburg (Russia) (23rd ICACG, 2018) and that (24th ICACG, 2021) performed online because of the COVID-19 problems.
With the 25th ICACG we return on presence in Naples town in one of the most beautiful place along seafront in front of “Castello Dell’Ovo” at the center of Naples gulf.

This meeting is opened to all animal species including domestic and no domestic animals, vertebrates and invertebrates.
The program will cover the most relevant topics involving the Cytogenetics and Genomics of all animal species (see general topics).
We can anticipate that all abstracts (after revision by accredited reviewers) will be firstly published in a meeting book and later (after the meeting) to the MDPI-journal (Biology and Life Sciences Forum). In addition, according to the ANIMALS journal, we will organize a Special Issue Conference where several paper-presentations could be published later following the journal submission system.
Just to know, the updated CiteScore 2022 (Scopus data) of Animals is 4.2, ranks 24/186 (Q1) in the ‘General Veterinary’ category, 81/456 (Q1) in the ‘Animal Science and Zoology category. The CiteScore is increased about 55% than it in 2021.
